RE: Fast Asleep Bunkends - What Were They Thinking?

I did a ton of research before buying my 08 coyote 23cms and I also looked at the aerocub 23tt. I didn't like it for the same reasons you stated. I have a family of 5. My two girls wanted their own bed and I wanted to try and accomadate when I relized they could have their own bed by using a sleeping bag and my son could use the sofa or dinette, which is huge. The coyote 23 cms had everything we really like I would reccomend that model. good luck!

RE: Pulled Pork

I am a BBQ/ SMOKER you need to follow these steps
1. season the meat all over in your favorite spice
2. place fat side up in oven for 5-6 hours at 250 degrees
3. remove from oven wrap in heavy duty saran wrap then foil and place in a cooler, this will allow the meat to continue to cook without drying out. do this for three hours.
4. un wrap the butts and place back in the oven same temp for another 2 to 3 hours
5. the meat will be ready to pull when you can pull the bone out easy.
6. I would recommend using the sauce on the side and not mix in. but I don't know what you prefer in PA. Good luck

1st dutch oven

My sister just took me shopping and bought me a dutch oven to use camping. I am an experienced cook however and have never used one before. I understand the basic concept and I currently cook with a cast iron skillet at home and I am aware how to clean it but I am curious about the baking of breads in the Dutch Oven. Any advise would be great.

RE: My 2002 Tracker has pretty heavy water damage

I think it would depend on how handy you are and don't take ofense but by your question it doesn't sound like you are. I had the unfortunate experience of having our PUP damaged and found extensize water damage that I too had no earthly idea was there. Long story short it was too expensive to fix. I am handy and having never repaired or worked on a vehicle of this type I decided to turn it in to the insurance to be repaired by a pro my deductible was only 200.00 and I figured my time was worth more than my deductible. I thought they would have repaired the damage but they totaled the PUP and I recieved within 400.00 of what i paid for the PUP and it was in our third year of owning it. I think you might be better suited turning it in to the ins. and possibly getting something new.
If not you will need to replace all of the rotten wood. which means pulling up the linoleum, possibly peeling back some of your wall and cutting out the rotten floor. if possible try and replace the whole sheet of plywood. I am not certain on you cabinet makeup but you could possibly do away with the cabinet and manufature some shelves yourself and attach them to the floor so you won't damage you sidewalls. when you are done make certain you userv caulk on the seams both in and out. but again i would consider the ins route and let someone else buy this mess.

RE: Looking at 2006 Shamrock 21ss Need Help

I agree with everyone else, you will be fine. Do not forget a WD hitch and brake controller. I use the equalizer WD hitch and am happy. I also traded up from a PUP

RE: Meramec vs Jack's Fork River

I think eother park would be nice. I am planning a trip to both this year with our new HTT. One place I would not reccomend is NRO Niangua River Oasis, should be NIANGUA SEWER RIVER. I am glad my kids were not there. Yes the Onandaga State park has both water and electric on their sites with a concrete pad. Also if you haven't checked it out yet you can look at all of MO state parks including pictures of each site at www.mostateparks.com

RE: help with choosing hybrid

Hi there, We also have a family of five, I found the KZ COYOTE 23 cms to be the best fit for us. It has 5/8" marinegrade floor all tongue and groove. It is virtually the same floor plan as the Jayco 23B Two differances were the bathroom, the KZ was bigger. Also the KZ had in our opinion a better rear wardrobe. Either way you couldn't go wrong. Both had two year warranties. I would recommend an equalizer w/d hitch. If you wanted one with bunks I found the areolite cubb tt an interesting choice it had bunks. It was out of my price range but it had really cool looking tent ends.
I do finite analysis on everything I purchase in doing so I found out an interesting topic, which is most dealers will not perform warranty work on your trailer if you didn't buy from them, (example if it is a kz dealer and you find one cheaper in another state you might have to go there to get any warranty work done)good luck

RE: To clear or not to clear the snow

I would remove it .
I could not stand such a thing. That would drive me crazy. I am glad to have a barn to put mine in. Before my HTT i had a PUP and it had to stay outside one season and it leaked. had condensation which upset uss terribly.
Here in the midwest you can have a decent pole barn built for less than $10,000.00 if you have that option available
good luck.

RE: Trip to South Dakota - seeking advice

I would find time to drive down needles highway minus the camper there are some tight curves. Also you will see a ton of signs for wall drug, not that exciting but with all those signs they just seem to draw you in. Besides I don't know anywhere else you can buy glossy finished buffalo poop!

new arrival is here everyone happy

There are times when I wish I could have a video camera running around me 24/7 and today was another one of those days. Everything went beutiful. Had only one small issue at the dealer they put my brake controller in the wrong spot,(to the right of the steering wheel instead of the factory bracket that is hidden on the lower left, no big deal since they will replace that part of the dash. Other than that kids expression absolutely priceless. Then off to soccer clinics and draft. 3rd year coaching soccer just kind of comical drafting 8 yr olds. I really felt bad for the last kids picked.

RE: Camping Equipment

I am still in a pop up frame of mind but I enjoyed those extreme 5 day coolers I won't own anything else. I would recommend a 5 day drinking cooler also.
